In The Valley of Decision
Keep it between you and God
When facing major decisions we need to keep our heart open to God’s leading. We also need to keep our mouth closed while we are waiting on God. When we get all these opinions from every other Tom, Dick or Harry it can sway us in the wrong direction. There is only one who can point us in the right direction and that is God Almighty. Psalm 37:5 Commit thy way unto the Lord; and trust also in him; and He shall bring it to pass.
- Commit everthing to God and God alone
- Trust that He will lead every step of the way
- He will bring it to pass (In His time, not ours)
Praising the Lord while we are in the valley
Psalm 62:8 Trust in Him at ALL times; ye people, pour out your heart before Him: God is a refuge for us. God is our shelter as we go through the valley of decision. God will protect us from our enemies who try to bluster and blow their ways into our decision making process, but they can’t get involved in it in the first place, if we don’t open our mouth and tell them about our personal spiritual business. We need to keep quiet during this time. Put our faith and trust in God, not man. No one has our best interest at heart or loves us more. I will trust the Lord at all times and His praise shall continously be in my mouth.
Some decisions are so huge that God’s will is superior to our intellect
Remember we are not just making a decision that will just affect only us. It affects everyone. It is like throwing a rock in the water and it ripples out and keeps going. Be attentive to God’s leading. He is the WAY, TRUTH and LIFE, He will lead you, teach you the truth, and give you life abundantly. Psalm 61:2 From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed; lead me to the rock that is higher than I. 3. For thou hast been my shelter for me, and a strong tower from my enemies. Pray through until the answer comes and the peace of God comes flowing. In order for that to happen we are requried to let go and let God, be God.
Best decision I ever made
When I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior, I put ALL my faith and trust in Him to see me through all those valleys of decisions, now and those to come in the near future. How about you, who are you putting your trust in, God or man?
