“Pointing our finger at someone else”

Before we can point a finger at someone else we need to take inventory of our own heart and life.

It is really easy to judge someone who doesn’t even know they are being judged. If they knew we were judging them, they would automatically defend themselves against the accusations being hurled at them.

Quote from PJ: It kind of is like asking a cat left alone with a bird flying around in a closed room, Hey did you eat that bird? You already know the answer; the cat has feathers sticking out of its mouth.

Matthew 7:1-5 Judge not, that ye be not judged. V. 2. For with the same measure ye judge, ye shall be judged. V. 3. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? V. 4. Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold a beam is in thine own eye. V. 5. Thou hypocrite, first cast the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye. KJV

When we are judged by others we don’t like it

If people do judge us, whether in front of us or behind our back, we need to remember that God is our defender.

We are protected by GOD when we ABIDE in Him

Psalm 91: 1-4 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. V. 2. I will say of the Lord, He is my REFUGE, and my FORTRESS; my GOD; in him will I trust. V. 3. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. V. 4. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust; his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. People will try to kick us right out from under the feathers of God. How? Being too judgmental (pointing a finger). They act as if they never get out of the will of God, or they never judge anyone. Oh hogwash, we all do it. We must quit devouring one another with our holy righteous attitudes, thinking we are perfect.

We all fail in this area miserably, but we can make a conscience effort to do better

Do a self examination right now. Are you judging someone? Ask for forgiveness, and remember how you felt when others judged you unfairly. Do you feel as if everyone is judging you? Ask God to protect you from the arrows of judgment thrown at you. Don’t render evil for evil. Pray for them. God is our defender!
