A Willing Heart to Serve
When you have a heart to serve you can’t sit on the couch and just eat doughnuts all day!
As Christians, we are called upon to do great and mighty things for the Lord. We take availabilities we have and bless others. We are not selfish, we become selfless. Our agenda belongs to God and serving His people to the very best of our abilities.
Availability is more important than ability
You don’t have to have a college degree or letters behind your name to serve. Just have a lot of love and a willing heart. Many sit on the sidelines doing nothing, but they sure are good about complaining. We can make a huge difference by using our heart of compassion to serve with passion.
Everyone is able to do something great
I Peter : 4:8-11 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover a multitude of sins. 9. Use hospitality one to another without grudging. 10. As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. 11. If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to who be praise and dominion forever and ever. Amen
Being good stewards of our time
Time is a precious blessing given by God. What we do with our time is very important. When we waste time and are not productive we can never get those moments back. They are irreversible.
Three questions: 1. Are you willing and available to do something great for someone else? 2. Are you wasting time by only thinking of yourself? 3. Are you letting God fill your agenda with His schedule or yours?
Closing prayer: Lord, we ask you to give us a willing heart to serve like Jesus. Help us to do great and mighty service for your glory. Lord help us to value our time spent with You and others. In Jesus name. Amen
