A little humor
A pastor ask a group of children, “Who tore down the walls of Jericho?” It wasn’t me, said Tommy, it was Timmy. Sometimes we can be like Tommy; we want to blame everything on everyone else, instead of taking responsibility for our actions.
Be a bridge builder and Kingdom builder
Bridge builders are (Kingdom builders, and Kingdom seekers)
Matthew 6:33 Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and then all these things shall be added unto you. Kingdom builders are those with plans in their hands and they start building they don’t procrastinate, or make excuses of why they can’t do something. They grab the blue prints and go. They will go, when no one else will. It is a lot more productive when you have a team that comes along side of you, and they pitch in and get their hands dirty.
There are builders, and there are destroyers
My Daddy always said, “You get a lot more done with honey, than with vinegar!” If you don’t believe me then think about this. I have ten people come over to my house have them work all day, and half the night and never give them any home cook meal or a cold glass of tea, and we will see how much work I get out of them. They would be leaving and complaining in one hour. I choose to be a bridge builder. You can choose to be one too.
A bridge builder will read and study the Word of God, pray, love others, seek God’s wisdom, lead others to Christ, and consistently encourage others.
Expert builders DO NOT just go off and leave their tools behind. They know exactly what is needed to get the job done. They also care about the safety of others. They sure don’t put a ladder together with duct tape. At GPS, I am responsible for caring for the physical, spiritual, and emotional welfare of the ministry, and others. I want to build strong relationships with everyone that enters. I desire to be an expert Kingdom builder and Kingdom seeker.
No demon in hell can destroy the plans of God’s people, who stand up, and stand out!
I hear people say, “I can’t” Well try your best, and God will help you with the rest! What really matters to God is that you get the blue print out, and start building. If you stumble ask Him for wisdom. James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to All men liberally, and upbraideth not, and is shall be given him.
We are blessed when we build relationships and serve others
In ministry I have met many people who have burned so many bridges they cannot even help themselves, let alone help someone else. If that is you, then ask God to heal you so that you can help others. We cannot serve others, if we are too busy wanting everyone to serve us. Let us perfect our building skills, starting right now.
